Designed for routine laboratory sterilization

Add capacity without redesigning your lab

01

Use floor space efficiently

The top-loading design provides useful chamber depth while keeping the cabinet footprint compact.

02

Plan without fixed plumbing

A built-in reservoir removes the need for a dedicated water connection or central steam line.

03

Repeat routine settings

Programmable operation helps shared laboratories save and reuse routine cycle parameters.

04

Support cooldown

Standard dual-fan cooling supports the cooldown stage after sterilization.

Common setup questions

Do the SX-500U and SX-700U require fixed plumbing?

No. Both models use a built-in water reservoir and connect to an approved drain container. A dedicated water connection or central steam line is not required.

Can they sterilize liquids?

Yes. Both models support liquid sterilization cycles for compatible culture media and aqueous solutions. Validate cycle parameters for the specific load and application.

What is the main difference between the models?

The SX-500U provides a 50 L chamber and uses AC 100–120 V power. The SX-700U provides a 69 L chamber and requires AC 207–253 V power. Their chamber dimensions and footprints also differ.

How do I know whether my vessels will fit?

Compare the vessel dimensions and intended basket configuration with the chamber dimensions. Send unusual or tall vessel dimensions and your typical batch to the TOMY team for review.
